Grandma’s Recipes
Hi Friends! Today I’ve got a project that’s near and dear to my heart. Over the last year my oldest daughter and I have been browsing my Grandma’s old recipe cards. We’ve had fun making a few, like her Lemon Sponge Cake with Strawberry Syrup. Some of her recipes she had typed up onto recipe cards, but others are in her hand writing. Seeing her handwriting brings back so many memories. So I thought it would be fun to use her recipe cards as décor in our kitchen.
I had these custom decals created at RoomMates. I scanned my Grandma’s recipe cards and then uploaded those images on their site.
I love having the memory of her recipes front and center in the hub of our home.
I had her Custard Sauce and Deviled Eggs au Gratin printed.
This would make a great Christmas gift idea for those nostalgic family members on your list.

Hi Traci! Nope ~ same kitchen wall color. It’s probably disappearing soon though. I’m thinking of repainting the walls before I paint the kitchen cabinets.
I like the decal idea a lot, but could you actually tell me what color your walls are painted? I really like it! (But I understand the desire for something new too 🙂 )

I absolutely love this idea. My husband and I are going to do one from each of our grandmother’s recipes. The walls in our kitchen are still pretty empty and this is the PERFECT decoration!
