Christmas Mantel
Happy Friday Friends! Anyone else ready for a weekend? We’ve had a trying week. My mom was in a head on car accident (thankfully she will be fine) and I’ve had 2 sick kiddos, one which required a trip to the ER yesterday (they thought she had appendicitis, she has swollen lymph nodes near here appendix). I’m ready for some sleeping in, making some comfort food and baking some Christmas yummies.
I’ve got some happiness to share… my Christmas mantel!
I went with natural pretties.
I epsom salted some more pine cones and created another snowy pinecone cluster for the center. I used the same method of cutting strips of burlap and hot gluing them to the base of the pine cone.
My faux mercury glass bulbs and one filled with some epsom salt are hung with jute twine.
Two Christmas trees with a festive red plaid bow on top book end the mantel.
I used an old window (my brother had salvaged from a construction job) for my faux winter window.
Our 2nd week of Countdown to Winter has started! This week Cheri @ It’s So Cheri has this adorable ornament to share with you.
Head on over to get all the details and join in the Countdown to Winter Party! See you there…
So glad your mom is ok! Your mantel is gorgeous – love the faux mercury ornaments.

Love the use of of an old window and the mix of glass with the pinecones. I would love if you shared this at my blog hop https://www.ablossominglife.com/2012/12/frugal-crafty-home-hop-2.html
