Countdown to Summer Party… Patriotic Nails
Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.
In our household with 2 girls, having cute painted piggies is a big part of summer.
Recently we discovered nail art… the nail polish with the thin brushes. I find ours at Walgreen and Rite-Aid and you can find them on sale for $1 a piece.
In honor of Memorial Day tomorrow we decided to paint our nails in patriotic flare.
This is the pattern I did on my nails. I started with a shimmery silver base. Used red nail art polish for stripes one direction, then blue the other way and then white top to bottom.
Here’s the youngest daughter’s. We did a red, white and blue stripe on four of the nails and a shimmery silver star with red, white and blue polka-dots on the thumbs.
And my oldest daughter’s piggies… we started with a light blue base and then did a red, white and blue stripe.
The options are endless (as they have a ton of colors) and it’s a fun girlie time with my girls.
So how are you getting ready for summer??
This is an easy link-up party, meaning no link-back or button is required… but always appreciated!
Only requirement… it must be summer related. Share with us your summer décor, recipes, crafts, how you plan to keep the kiddos busy during summer… so inspire us… how are you counting down?

Oh my word – I wish I were that talented. This is fantastic. Pinned!
Headin’ for a pedi tomorrow! You’ve inspired me!
Very cute! I need to do this with my niece when we are at the beach this summer.
Fabulous nails – very pretty!
These are adorable! I need to get some nail art supplies ASAP. =) I especially love the gingham-ish look! =)
Same here… we’ve done it with brown, pink and white too… super cute!
