Holy Wreath!
On Monday I got the latest Pottery Barn catalog… happy day! Viewing the catalog is a process for me… I first look through quickly to see what sticks out, then later I will SLOWLY scour through the pages marking the things that inspiring me. Well, I was great intrigued when I came to the page with this picture…
Those book wreaths are so amazing, different and it caught my eye.
So, I can’t tell you how OVERJOYED I was when Lindsay linked up a book wreath tutorial at Kimba’s DIY party. Did you see this book wreath tutorial that Living with Lindsay showed off this week? AMAZING!!! She did a video tutorial and everything. As soon as I saw the great detailed information she gave I knew that I would be visiting Dollar Tree the next day.
I got my $1 foam wreath (all they had in stock were the floral wreaths) & my $1 book. I picked The Holy Bible. I thought it would be so cool to have scripture on the wall in such a unique way.
I just followed Lindsay’s perfect directions and a few hours later I had this…
I think it’s the perfect addition to the wall.
Do you think I should lower the botanical prints a little bit?
See that cute white teapot on the buffet… I picked it up at a garage sale yesterday for $3. It’s a Fitz and Floyd teapot. I decided to look it up when I got home and I saw them selling for $180 on one site. Does anyone know much about this company? I just thought it was pretty and would fit nicely on my buffet. I’m trying to decide whether of not to sell it… anyone have some good collectible info to share?

I love the wreath idea….one of my next projects! I used to work at a gift shop that sold Fitz & Floyd and we used to get some serious collectors come in looking for the new debuts. You could probably get some good money for it if you ever decide to part with it.

Love the wreath! I saw Lindsay's and wanted to make one too. However, my Dollar Tree has NO wreaths at all. Grrr! I am NO expert. But here is what I've learned in blogland. I would leave the prints where they are, find a LARGE frame(junk store, Goodwill, Salvation Army). Spray it black or white (probably black, LOL) and TILT it on the back of the table to pull everything together. A smaller one possibly painted white layered in front of it. I think then you wouldn't see the 'large spot' between the prints and the table. Plus it will add depth and texture to your beautiful arrangement on the wall you have going on! Hope that helps!
