Easy Striped Basket with Paint a Thrift Store Makeover
Hi Friends! I’m so excited that it’s time for our monthly Thrift Store Decor… each month I join with some blogging friends to share some fun makeovers we’ve done using thrift store items. This month I’ve got a cute and easy striped basket that you can make with paint.
I’ve seen this cute style a few stores in the last few months and I thought it would be fun to make my own.
I started with thrift store basket with handles… I think that really helps make this super cute!
I used delicate painter’s tape and taped it off, just leaving the top section open to easily paint. I used some white acrylic paint with a foam 1″ brush.
I put 3 coats on, letting it dry about 30-45 minutes between coats (it was a warm day though).
When the final coat had dried well I peel off the painter’s tape to reveal this CUTE basket.
Perfect for holding throw blankets…
magazines…
or whatever floats your boat.

I love the simple update. It looks like it came from an expensive boutique!
Just simple enough but adds that extra extra we all love!
Definitely looks high end now!
