Making Memories for a Christmas Gift

My girls have been begging me since last Christmas season to take them ice skating! Here in Southern California we are lucky to see rain let alone snow, so having a Girl’s Day Out ~ Winter Wonderland day was just what I decided to surprise them with for an early Christmas gift.

I went to Groupon to check out what they had available and found a few ice skating options in our area. Purchasing our ice skating was super simple. You can print out your Groupon voucher and take it with you or you can show it from your phone with the Groupon app… which I love!

So I made up a cute little gift basket and let them try to guess what we were doing.

I filled it with mittens, earwarmers, a hat, some cute mugs and hot cocoa plus some handwarmers.

To say my girls had a blast would be an understatement!

Here’s a video of my youngest learning. The ice skating rink we went to had lots of skating helpers out on the ice teaching the beginners.
