Striping a File Cabinet
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape brand painter’s tape for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hi Friends… My oldest daugher was in need of some more storage, so I decided to shop the house for some ideas. We had an old file cabinet that was in a storage unit we purchased at an auction. It wasn't pretty, but with paint… there's always hope!
Here's what we came up with…
Here's what I started with…
Worn & ugly!
We started by sanding it lightly, priming it and giving it a coat of fresh, white paint.
My daugher decided she wanted a diagonal stripe.
I used a ruler to help with the spacing and used FrogTape painter’s tape so I would be able to create a crisp, straight stripe. FrogTape's® new Multi-Surface tape worked awesome! FrogTape® has PaintBlock® Technology that creates a micro barrier that seals the edge of the tape… creating that beautiful straight edge!
Once you've place your tape on give it a rub, making sure the edge is sealed.
We started by painted a lime green. Then once it was dry and we had removed the tape, we taped up the other direction and painted teal blue stripes.
I love how it turned out & I was honestly very impressed by how perfect the lines are!
