Starfish Vase | Thrift Store Vase Makeover
It’s time again for our monthly Thrift Store Decor projects. I’m so excited that we’ve got some new bloggers that have joined the fun. I’ll tell you all about them in a minute. This month I made another addition for my summer mantel… a cute Starfish Vase.
Let me show you what it started as…
My youngest daughter actually found this vase. She thought it looked fun and the price was right… $1!
So she got some spray paint in a beautiful, beachy blue. Two light coats was all in needed.
To add a more nautical vibe I added some rope around the top. I just weaved it in and out and then tied it together with a couple knots.
I think it turned out cute. I added some starfish inside… they look like they are trying to escape.
Thrift stores are the perfect place to experiment with your diy skills too. Grab something for $1 and practice your spray painting skills.

In my next life I’m going to have a room in my house dedicated to the ocean. If I can’t sit and admire the view of the beach at least I could admire it in the house.
