Back to painting news…

I was in desperate need for some cute accessories to put up on my nifty, new ledge shelf in my Board and Batten Bathroom

What’s a girl to do… grab her spray paint of course!

I had these glass vases, salad dressing bottle and a little pitcher.   The vases and pitcher were free garage sale leftovers (watch Craigslist on a Saturday afternoon for these postings)… salad dressing bottle, well… you get that one.

I gave them all 2 good coats of spray paint.

Now look how cute they look on my ledge shelf.

Don’t you love iceberg roses?  They bloom all year long here in So. Cal.

This little shelf in over the toilet on the other side of the room.

So what have you been painting???

Usual requests:

* This is a Paint Party, so please link up posts that pertain to paint.

* Please place my nifty Power of Paint button on your post or a link back to this post so others can find the party.

* Please put your post link in MckLinky, not your general blog address.

Let’s party painters…

This MckLinky list has not started yet. It is scheduled to begin at 2/2/2010 7:00:00 PM PST…

    1. I never would have thought to spraypaint the glass white, I love it, what a great idea. They turned out so great! Thanks for sharing!

    2. Hey. I don't normally leave comments, but I just wanted to say thanks for the great information. I have a blog too, though
I don't write as good as you do, but if you want to check it out here it is. Thanks again and have a great day!

    3. LOL…over the possibility of painting a valuable treasure. Dang it, it deserves a paint job if it carries a 'made in Taiwan, sticker! Thanks for hosting! 🙂

    4. More Style Than Cash had me worried for a moment. I check the bottom of the vase and it had a "made is Taiwan" sticker… goodness, I was sweating for a moment.

    5. I loved the way that turned out! I always recycle those vases, but now I know what I am going to do with them!

    6. Umm..I think you might have painted over a hand-blown vintage or antique cranberry glass vase. I can't quite tell from your photo the colour of the vase if it is actually cranberry glass (the colour comes from adding gold to glass). Getting the paint off shouldn't be a problem if you decide to research it and look into selling it.

    7. I love your painted vases! The paint gives them quite a dramatic makeover, doesn't it!
      Thanks for hosting the party!

    8. That's a really awesome trick! I never would have thought those weren't porcelain or ironstone. Have to remember this in case I come across a cheap little vase…

    9. They look amazing painted white. Thanks for hosting again. That cupcake in you header is so cute. I'm so going to make some of these.
