$2 Restore Chair

Thanks for Sharing!

I’ve got a great little chair makeover to share with you guys.  I picked up a sad, worn chair at the Habitat for Humanity Restore.  My youngest had outgrown her two little chairs, so when I came across a chair at the Restore for only $2  I scooped it up.

If you’ve been around my blog for a while you know I adore paint.  Add some fun fabric to the mix and you’ve got magic.

Of course, you want to see the before…

So sad! Like I said… nothing some paint and fabric can’t fix!

Here’s what I used: (affiliate links included for your convenience)

The base of the chair was spray-painted with Valspar’s Brilliant Silver. It’s a great shiny silver metal spray paint color!

The cane backing was spray painted with Krylon’s Blue Ocean Breeze.  Such a beautiful light teal blue.

and I found this adorably cute fabric at Walmart… score!  It’s a brushed cotton, so super soft and cozy.  Her sister is going to make her a couple of throw pillows with the leftover fabric.

It’s vibrant and colorful…. just like her personality.
