85th Power of Paint Party… Mom’s Chore Board

Thanks for Sharing!

Welcome Paint Lovers!

Organization madness is in full swing this week.  With t-minus 6 days till school starts I am looking at every space to figure out how to make it function better and keep us organized during the school year.

This is my first year that I will have all the kiddos in school all day long… wow!  So… I am trying to organize my time so I can do the home thing, the PTA stuff, the volunteering in the classrooms, the blog stuff and the burlap biz as efficiently as possible.

So I came up with this idea…

It’s front & center in my kitchen…

and I’m hoping that having a visible schedule will help me stay on a schedule better.

I scored this giant frame with a particle board back leaning against the neighbor’s trash can!  SCORE!!!

I cream’ified the frame and then used 2 coats of chalkboard paint on the particle board.

When using chalkboard paint I paint the 1st coat one way and the 2nd coat the other way.

Once your chalkboard paint has had 24 hours to dry, make sure you cure your chalkboard by rubbing the whole surface with the edge of your chalk.

So what have you been painting???

Power of Paint Party Rules:

#1… This is a PAINT party… so pretty please, link-up only paint related projects.  I HATE deleting!

#2… Please put my nifty POPP button (you can find it up in my menu bar’s BUTTONS) in your blog post or a link back to this party somewhere on your blog… that way others from your blog can check out all the paint projects too.

#3… Share the Love… visit the other paint pals.

  8. It definitely helps to have a list! I always do my laundry on Mondays which frees me up mentally & so I don't feel obligated to do laundry all week. That way I can get onto other things! Thanks for hosting!
