A Beachy Shadowbox… a Thrift Store Makeover
Happy Wednesday Friends! I’m so excited to introduce you to a new monthly series I’m a part of. I’m teaming up with 5 other great bloggers and monthly we will be sharing Thrift Store Decor Makeovers! Inspiring you to rummage your thrift stores and transform the tossed aside into treasures. I’m a beach lovin’ girl so I’ve got a fun beachy shadowbox to share with you guys today.
Here’s what she looked like… not too bad for less than a buck!
First she needed a good cleaning.
Then I decided to brighten her up with some coral paint.
I painted the backing solid coral and then dry brushed some coral on the top sides.
I let it dry about an hour before dry brushing some white over the coral on the top side areas.
Once dry I added a starfish and seashells.
Then I wrote with a white chalkboard marker “Dream.”
A fun thrift store decor makeover! This beauty is going on a gallery wall in the works in one of daughter’s rooms.
Now there’s some other great Thrift Store Decor Makeovers for you to check out from these great ladies…
