Coffee & Twine

Thanks for Sharing!

I’ve been wanting to make a new wreath since I saw A Glimpse Inside create her adorable project.

Here’s my new wreath…

{Supplies Needed}

foam wreath (dollar tree)

twine (dollar tree)

coffee filters

black acrylic paint

glue gun

push pin

{Step 1}

Put on your favorite show & start wrapping the twine around your wreath, gluing every few inches.

{Step 2}

Create the outer flower layer…

Fold the coffee filter in half and then in half again.

Then take some acrylic black paint and gently dab it on the edges of the filter.

{Step 3}

Create the middle flower layer…

Fold the coffee filter as in step 2 and trim the outer 1/2 inch from the filter.  Dab your black paint on the outer edge again.

{Step 4}

Create the inner flower layer.  Fold the filter as in Step 2 & 3 and this time trim 1 inch off the outer edge.  Dab your black paint again.

{Step 5}

Create your flower by stacking the 3 flower layers, largest on the bottom, smallest on the top.   Then grabbing the center of the flower stack, bunch up the center & then poke the pin through.

{Step 6}

Use hot glue to attach the flower to the wreath.

{Step 7}

Repeat till you have as many flowers as you’d like… I did three.

I love the yellow pop in the center from the push pin.

My frilly new wreath is hanging on my $5 garage sale mirror that use to be a gaudy gold.

She hangs with a simple black sheer ribbon.

I love it over my roadside buffet!

One last look…

I’m sharing my pretty new wreath at all the fab parties on my PARTIES menu bar button!
